Thu 9th Apr 2015 - 11:58am

Have you heard the rumblings?
The mountain stirs once more...
Beneath its crags, cliffs and rocks
There's evil in its core!

Cardiff's Fireside Gathering returns in April to celebrate the latest single-player expansion to the game, Blackrock Mountain!

- ENTRY AND TOURNAMENT FEE: £2 for competitive, free for casual.

- PLAYING: If you want to play, bring your tablet or laptop (fully charged) and you'll be able to join in! Bear in mind that you'll be responsible for your stuff. We'll have charging points set up if you're running low on power.

- SUGGESTIONS?: As ever we're open to suggestions for the future, including other games to stream (especially for major tournaments). Want to watch Dota 2 or League of Legends over a pint? Let us know!

TOURNAMENT

Tournament 1: COMPETITIVE (2015 World Championship Match Format)

Prize: £15 Battle.net card for the victor, others tba
Entry: £2

- All matches will be best-of-5. The first player to win 3 games within the match is considered the winner of the match and advances.
- Each player must submit decklists from three unique classes prior to each stage of the event. Players may submit new decks prior to each stage of the event.
- A player must win one game with each of his three decks to win the match.
- When a player wins a game, the deck used by the winning player cannot be used for the remainder of the match.
- The losing player can keep the same deck used or switch to a different one of their choice.
- Players will be told what classes their opponent has available, but they won’t know which class is picked until both players have picked.
- No bans.

Tournament 2: RESTRICTED

Prize: tba
Entry: Free

- Same as above, but Epic and Legendary cards are BANNED. Designed to allow newer players to have a better fighting chance, and to also hopefully allow for some interesting decks! Depending on time/amount of participants this may be a best of 3, 2 classes tournament.
